Fast Shade Farm

This tree was the inspiration for the farm. It was planted 7-8 years ago. It didn't take long for it to be bigger than the house. Every spring it produces these gorgeous flowers.

This is the same tree as the flowering tree after it has put on leaves in the spring. Gorgeous leaves provide great shade for her house, bringing great heat relief to the house and yard all summer long!

This tree is on our property. It is about two and a half years old. It is close to twenty feet tall, sixteen foot wide, and has a 6" diameter trunk. The tree to the left was eighteen foot when it was eighteen months old.

The large heart-shaped leaves are usually 15–40 cm across and arranged in opposite pairs on the stem. Fantastic shade!

These two shade trees were planted just 2 years ago.

The Paulownia is an extremely fast-growing tree, grown commercially for production of hardwood timber.

The shade trees were planted by hand and germinated over the winter in a greenhouse. Otis is the guard dog!
